real madrid sacked coach vincent del bosque yesterday after he managed to bring home the championship just ahead of real sociedad... real madrid also told fernando hierro to go somewhere else and didn't give him a contract...

the hierro bit i can understand... he's old and slow... unfortunately for real, they don't have much defenders left... helguera is not even a real defender... is beckham going to play in defence? oh well, i'm sure they'll have a solution for it...

the del bosque bit is a bit difficult to understand... in 4 years he won 2 league titles, 2 champions league, and a bunch of other cups... and they still sack him... he's been telling the board that real needs a defender, agreed by many, but the board insists on buying the likes of ronaldo and beckham... whoever's going to take over, it won't be easy... imagine the dressing room full of egos, add the board who wants to have a say, and then the merciless media... they might as well play without a coach, cause he won't be doing anything much anyways... oh well, maybe we see a new face that suddenly drowns real madrid and my beloved ajax can win the champions league next year... yiippeee...
